The first calves out of Lonestar are on the ground at Carlog, and they are delivering exactly what a Top 7% BFI sire is supposed to deliver.
This is what the breeding program has been working toward. Lonestar — RSTF23U228, Santos Lonestar U228 — carries a BFI of +550 with an Eye Muscle Area ranking in the Top 8% of the world herd. Those numbers do not exist in isolation. They show up in his offspring: strong frames, clean structure, exceptional dispositions, and the kind of presence that tells you early that these animals are built right.
The dams behind this calf crop are some of our strongest females — the M6 Ranch bloodlines and our own Carlog-bred foundation cows whose genetics we have spent years building. When you pair a Top 7% sire against that maternal base, the calves reflect it.
We will run genomic evaluations on this crop as they develop. The early indicators are encouraging — and with Lonestar's documented World Breeding Values as a foundation, these calves will enter the AWA evaluation system with pedigrees that carry real weight.
As always, some of this crop will stay at Carlog to advance our breeding program. Others will be available to serious programs looking to build elite Wagyu genetics. Direct access, no auctions — same as everything we do.
